Waipa Networks Business Awards

Save the date!

Waipa Networks Business Awards 2021 dates released.

The Cambridge Business Chamber announce dates for the 2021 Waipa Networks Business Awards. The Chamber will open entries officially on Monday 8th  February 2021, with the Awards Presentation scheduled for Friday 16th April; two dates that are well worth putting in your diaries now, so that you don’t miss out on a great business opportunity.

Regrettably, we made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Awards, given the current Covid climate, but are excited to confirm a 2021 Awards programme.

Kelly Bouzaid, CEO Cambridge Chamber of Commerce, commented that ‘whilst Covid had been incredibly disruptive to our region’s businesses, there will be some wonderful stories of innovation, adaptation and leadership to showcase in the 2021 Awards programme’.

We are delighted to confirm Waipa Networks have continued their support as naming rights sponsors, without whom this premier business event would not be possible.

The Awards are open to businesses in the Waipa region and aim to encourage and support businesses in their quest for success through sustainability, innovation, leadership, and excellence. The Waipa Networks Business Awards has revised the awards categories to better reflect business issues and strategies during 2020.

We have reshaped the awards to reflect the current environment, recognising and celebrating Waipa’s resilience during this difficult time.

Any business, of any size, located in the Waipa District is eligible to enter. In recognition of the present working environment, we have made entering a very simple process, there are no lengthy forms to complete, and the judges will decide the winners by interviewing the nominees.

There will be a minimal entry charge to enter the business awards and if businesses need help getting organised please contact us.

Last year’s Supreme Winners – Gourmet Delicious

‘Entering the Waipa Business Awards allowed us to reflect on our business, assess our competencies and look at our business more strategically from all aspects. It proved incredibly useful and held us in good steed to weather the unforeseen pandemic! The association with the Waipa Networks Business Awards has certainly added weight to growing our business, demonstrating our processes and management capabilities.’

Adam Fletcher, CEO Waipa Networks commented “Waipa Networks welcomes the return of the Awards for 2021 not just to highlight the achievements of those in the local business community, but to acknowledge the solidarity that has, and continues, to help us through these challenging times.” Mr Fletcher said. “Whilst Waipa Networks has a long history as Principal Sponsor of the Awards, I look forward in particular to these Awards and their role in recognising how endurance through leadership and innovation has fueled success.”

2021 is not that far away, so get Awards thinking in play.

Kelly Bouzaid, Cambridge Chamber of Commerce commented, 'it takes a community to make a successful and sustainable event programme of this magnitude. Association with the event offers great mileage for our sponsors and offers a partnership relationship with the most prestigious business event in the region and we welcome any level of support that our local businesses can support us with’.

If you would like to get involved in a sponsorship capacity, please contact Kelly Bouzaid of the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce who can discuss the opportunity further with you - awards@waipabusinessawards.co.nz or 07 823 3460.
