Kelly Bouzaid, CEO at Cambridge Business Chamber

Kelly Bouzaid

Chief Executive Officer

Kelly Bouzaid was appointed Chief Executive of the Cambridge Business Chamber in October 2018, bringing with her a wealth of leadership experience and a dynamic background across a broad range of industries.

Prior to relocating to Cambridge from Waiheke Island, Kelly held a number of senior roles including National Sales Manager for several high-profile companies, General Manager of Touchdown Productions, and Sales & Marketing Manager for both the Waiheke Weekender and Gulf News. She also successfully owned and operated the iconic Schooner Café, further demonstrating her commercial acumen and entrepreneurial spirit.

Throughout her career, Kelly has built a reputation for leading high-performing teams, delivering strategic growth, and navigating organisations through periods of change and crisis.

Her strength lies in her ability to unite people, drive innovation, and advocate effectively on behalf of businesses.

Under Kelly’s leadership, the Cambridge Business Chamber has strengthened its focus on connectivity, effective advocacy, and economic wellbeing, while also achieving greater sustainability through the development of more diverse revenue streams.

“The Chamber plays a vital role in shaping a thriving and resilient business community. Our ability to offer strategic oversight, influence decision-making, and drive collaboration is more important than ever in a fast-changing environment like Cambridge.”

Kelly is a strong voice for local enterprise and continues to champion initiatives that support sustainable growth, capability building, and leadership—especially in the wake of challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and economic headwinds.

Aroha Croft, Membership Co-ordinator at Cambridge Business Chamber

Aroha Croft

Membership & Events Manager

I’m Aroha Croft, a passionate business leader and event manager who advocates for the Cambridge business community. With nearly 20 years in the hospitality industry, I spent a decade managing Onyx Restaurant before launching Smoke Collective Barbecue with my husband, Aaron. What started as a food truck and catering business across the Waikato evolved into our own barbecue joint in Carters Flat, where we serve up Southern-influenced barbecue with a Kiwi flair.

Beyond hospitality, I’m deeply invested in supporting local businesses, fostering connections, and driving growth. As a small business owner and Chamber coordinator, I thrive on helping members navigate challenges, build strong networks, and make the most of opportunities. Seeing businesses succeed, celebrating their wins, and championing local procurement is what motivates me every day.

With experience in event management, digital marketing, and strategic business growth, I’m always looking for ways to help businesses work smarter, not harder. Whether it’s running workshops, organising networking events, or bringing fresh ideas to the table, my goal is to help our local business community thrive.
