In January The TISSOT UCI Track Cycling World Cup is coming back to Cambridge, 18-20 January, 2019, bringing the world’s best track cyclists back to the Avantidrome.
NZ hosted its first ever Track World Cup at the Avantidrome in 2015 – to huge local and national support, with capacity crowds at all racing sessions, and extensive media coverage and social media following.
This year the event runs over three days, with 2 race sessions each day. The spectator capacity is 1500 per race session.
Around 50% of the 2015 event attendees were from the broader Waikato region, and around 45% from the rest of NZ (plus 5% international).
The event will again, this year, be shown live on SKY TV
