There’s a new face in the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce office – Aroha Croft, who is joining Loren Bennett in job sharing the Membership Co-ordinator role.
Aroha is a well recognised face in Cambridge, as she was with Onyx Café and Restaurant for more than 10 years. She recently left her post to embark on her own business with husband Aaron – The Smoke Collective, a gourmet food truck.
“I’m really excited about this position,” Aroha said. “I’m out for a new challenge and tying that in with my love for Cambridge and the business side of things is absolutely ideal.
“I have a solid love for this place, and being a part of its growth through this new job is quite thrilling.”
Aroha has been actively involved in the Chamber as a member while she was with Onyx and she won the Waipa Networks Business Awards Cambridge Employee of the Year Award in 2013.
Tania Witheford, CEO Cambridge Chamber of Commerce said they are delighted to have Aroha join the Chamber team.
“Aroha brings her passion for the Cambridge community, and her involvement with Chamber over the years and having been a part of the Love Cambridge steering committee is a real bonus.
“The opportunity to job share the member coordinator role enables us to increase coverage which will mean more support to members and the ability to distribute knowledge, skills and capability across the role giving the Chamber more depth and resilience.”
