ABOUT ME

I have a passion for life, living, hospitality and networking.   Following a career in banking and accounting in Auckland, London and Hamilton, I then had a catering business for 7 years.  Since then, the past thirteen years have seen me grow my Insurance Practice into a specialised business, advising business owners in the Shareholder/Buy Sell & key person areas. I advise clients how their business insurances dovetail into their personal insurances.  I work closely with existing and start ip companies in conjunction with their Accountants & Trust Lawyers and have a large mix of commercial and dairy farming clients and was a sponsor the Dairy Womens Network for 9 years.

My areas of professional development include; strategic planning; Institute of Directors courses; business management & governing trusts.

My partner Hugh and I also run “Ravenswood Manor” Karapiro, a boutique B&B, and attract the corporate, sporting and wedding market.

My community positions have included; Chair Tamahere School PTA, Parish Nominator & Peoples Warden St Stephens Church Tamahere, Netball Coach 10 years; annual supporter & current board trustee Waikato Breast Cancer Research Trust; trustee of the Proprietors Board at Waikato Diocesan School for Girls for 9 years.  I am a current executive member of the NZ branch of the Global $Million Round Table.

My personal interests include my cool kids; cooking; wine; tennis; gym; walking; kayaking;

Success for the CCoC for me is seeing businesses thrive through the programmes and initiatives Chamber have in place and our collaboration with Waipa Council & Community Board. CCoC is always striving to review, develop and commit itself to growth and change of the modern milleniall world
